1. WHO WE ARE AND WHEN THESE TERMS APPLY
Macondo Trips & Experiences is the trading name used by Jose Luis Alprado Franco, an individual based in Panama City, Republic of Panama. Business Operation Notice (ADO): 8-513-182-2011-247857, as supplied by the owner. Website: https://www.macondotrips.com. Legal contact: legal@macondotrips.com. Business address for notices: [COMPLETE BEFORE PUBLICATION]. Effective date: [COMPLETE].
These terms cover our website and travel advisory and planning services. Before you hire us, you will receive a proposal stating the scope, fees, deliverables, and applicable conditions. An inquiry alone does not hire us or confirm a reservation. Acceptance of paid services will be expressly recorded through digital channels. Visiting the website does not consent to marketing or sensitive-data processing.
2. OUR SERVICES AND INDEPENDENT SUPPLIERS
We provide travel advice, itinerary design, and reservation coordination. Some bookings are arranged in our capacity as an independent advisor affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc.; others involve local partners for accommodations, tours, transfers, and accompanied travel. Each proposal will identify the operator and payee, our role, and any involvement of Fora.
Independent suppliers deliver their services under their own terms, disclosed before purchase. Our coordination role does not remove responsibility for our own advice or commitments. Accompanied trips will identify the organizer, operator, and scope of accompaniment. We do not offer high-risk activities, but no travel experience is risk-free.
3. PLANNING FEES
Planning fees pay for the research, advice, design, and coordination you commission. They are paid directly to Jose Luis Alprado Franco through the channel specified in your proposal. We will disclose the total price, currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule, deliverables, included revisions, and cancellation method before payment. Additional fees require advance disclosure and your agreement. The proposal will allocate a value to each stage or provide another verifiable method of assessing completed work. We do not impose a universal nonrefundable percentage. Work begins after acceptance and the required payment are recorded. Any applicable statutory cooling-off rights and requirements for starting services during that period will be respected.
4. PAYMENTS FOR TRAVEL SERVICES
You pay hotels, tour operators, transfer providers, and experience partners directly through their payment link or at the venue, or through the Fora channel specified in your confirmation. These payments are separate from our planning fees. We do not request full card numbers, security codes, or banking credentials. A payment processor identified at checkout may process our fees without giving us your full card details.
Check the payee, currency, price, and terms before paying. A recommendation or quote does not guarantee availability. Confirmation follows the supplier’s process. We will provide known change, cancellation, and refund conditions before you authorize the booking.
5. CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, AND REFUNDS
If you cancel our planning service, we retain only the value of work actually completed and previously authorized third-party costs that are legally payable and unrecoverable. We refund the unearned balance under the proposal and mandatory law. If we cancel, we provide usable completed work and refund unperformed services, without limiting any other rights you may have.
A partner’s cancellation does not automatically make all completed planning refundable. We will assess the affected portion and, as appropriate, offer an alternative without new fees for unperformed work, a voluntarily accepted credit, or a refund of unperformed work. A credit will not be forced where a cash refund is due. If planning was fully and properly completed, there may be no unearned balance; we will provide a breakdown. Our own breaches and your statutory rights are considered separately.
Refunds of payments made to a partner are handled by that payee under its legally applicable terms. We will help route your request but cannot promise another business’s decisions or timetable. We do not refund money we never received, without prejudice to any responsibility of our own. Refunds of our fees will be processed without undue delay and within applicable legal deadlines through an agreed method, without undisclosed or unlawful deductions.
Partner cancellation terms are disclosed before payment. Force majeure does not automatically extinguish rights to refunds for undelivered services. Changes may affect rates and availability; new planning charges require written agreement.
6. TRAVELER INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS
Provide accurate details and review names, dates, and confirmations. You must check official passport, visa, permit, and health requirements for your nationality and route; our assistance is limited to the agreed scope. We cannot guarantee immigration decisions or admission. We request only passport details and birth dates needed for a specific booking. Limited health, allergy, or accessibility information is collected with explicit consent where required to coordinate suitable experiences. We do not provide medical clearance. Consult a qualified professional about fitness to participate. If essential information is unavailable, we will explain any safety-related limitation and explore alternatives. Other travelers’ data must be supplied with authorization; a minor’s legal representative must be involved.
